Based in Hertfordshire. Featured on BMW Car M collectors edition July 04. Registered in Mar 1995 with Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktinengesellschaft, it had another 2 owners before leaving Germany in March 1998 at 60,000km. FBMWSH. 125,000km. MK exhaust, aluminium doors doors and no sunroof.

5th Owner

CF bonnet and boot from ACS. Bilstein B16 Pss9 Clubsport coilovers with 10mm H&R spacers at the front and 15mm at the back. Respray and (track) wheels colour coded to black. BBS Le Mans wheels for street use. Awaiting engine mods and CF rear spoiler.

6th Owner

Changed hands in August 2007. Current owner has been spending time returning the car to full, standard GT spec.

Ich schaute ein bisschen im WWW und wie es der Zufall so will fand ich Ihn bei Ebay.

Er wurde als Unfallwagen der Nordschleife angeboten doch das tolle daran, es sollte der Erste sein der jemals die Straße in Privatbesitz gesehen hat EA40001. Sein Bruder EA40000 steht zur Bewunderung im BMW Museum in München. Also schon was besonderes.

Nach einer Besichtigungsfahrt nach Frankfurt und einigen Gesprächen konnte er dann per Trailer nach hause geholt werden.

Es wurden mehrere Gutachter und Karosserie Experten zurate gezogen und die Entscheidung stand fest, Er wird wieder leben."

My BMW M3 project began at Racewars 2007 when I saw an M3GT in action for the first time.

I was hooked immediately.

Then it was time to convince my wife! After a bit of negotiation I managed to persuade her.

I looked online for a bit and happened to find one on Ebay.

It had been in an accident on the Nurburgring but the great thing about it is... it was meant to be the first privately owned one to be on the road. (EA40001).

Its brother EA40000 is on display in the BMW museum in Munich. So, really something special!

After a trip to Frankfurt to see it and a few discussions I had it trailered to my house. I have called upon numerous experts and bodywork specialists and the decision is made – it will live again!
